ACCOMMODATIONS NEAR COUNCIL HOUSE FRIENDS MEETING

 

River Bend Hotel:  A block of 10 rooms has been set aside for the nights of June 2 & 3 for “Quakers” at the River Bend Hotel in Wyandotte, an 18 minute drive from Council House Friends. The hotel is 4-5 years old and the rooms are top notch.  There is a choice between two queen beds or one king. The cost for two nights is an all-inclusive total of $160. The Lodge, just six minutes from Council House, offers spartan, but clean rooms for $112 per night (tax included).  As a resort city, Grove (20 min.) has several motels. but they are normally fully booked during this season.

 

At Council House (free options)

A limited number of camper electrical hookups are available.  There is ample space for tent camping as well as bunk space (mattresses furnished) in two bunk houses which have siding on three sides and screened-in fronts. There is a restroom/shower building for each. There is a downstairs bedroom available in the parsonage with a/c, a “guest room” and two other rooms with beds available in the Memorial Building (no air conditioning).
